When placing an order, it is the customers responsibility to declare any allergies or food intolerances they may have, this extends to the person they are planning on sharing any of my products with. If the order is to be used as a gift it is the persons ordering the products responsibility to declare any allergens or food intolerances. By placing the order they declare that all information given is true and accurate at the time of ordering.
When placing an order for a custom cake a non refundable deposit must be paid this will normally be 50% of the bill/quote. This non refundable deposit will be paid before an order will start to be made. If a celebration cake or large order is required to be made before a specific date and time the non refundable deposit should be paid immediately to avoid any unnecessary delays in receiving an order.
Refunds will only be given if an order has been accepted and a non refundable deposit paid, but Aiden’s Cakes and Bakes cannot meet the requested deadline due to circumstances relating to the owner e.g. death in the family, ill health etc. A refund minus the non - refundable deposit may be given in exceptional circumstances, this will be determined by a case by case basis and is not guaranteed, a customer can cancel their order up to 2 weeks before the order is due for pick up or delivery and will receive a 75% refund, for orders cancelled 1 week before the deposit will not be returned, for orders cancelled less than a week before full payment for the cake is required.
Aiden’s cakes and Bakes does not specialise in dietary requirements, ingredients containing allergens may be swapped out if requested by a customer where possible e.g. gluten free flour, remove nuts from a recipe etc. great care is taken to remove the risk of cross contamination of allergens however this is not 100% guaranteed therefore traces of allergens may remain. Upon pickup/delivery a customer will receive a card with cake care and cake cutting instructions it is the customers responsibility to adhere to these instructions, once the cake leaves the business premises for pick up or once handed over at delivery, the cake becomes the sole responsibility of the customer. any damage cannot therefore be rectified. in the event the customer us unhappy with the flavour or moisture of the cake or a foreign object has been found, it is a requirement for the customer to return the cake for a partial refund or discount on a future order, if there is a failure to return the cake it weill be assumed the cake was consumed therefore there was nothing wrong with the cake.
